The International Panel on Chemical Pollution—IPCP commissioned creating of a report on the current state of chemical contamination (as of 2019), submitted to the United Nations. IPCP wished to increase the report’s visual appeal and clarity, which would highlight the leverage in the negotiations with the regulators and the industry representatives. The report’s goal was to increase the joint efforts of scientists and government policy makers towards creating and enforcing a cleaner environmental policies (the ‘science-policy interface’).
The report contained many complex tables and graphs, all of which had to be re-made for better visual coherence and aesthetic appeal. The left-hand-side shows: the before state, the right-hand-side shows effects of the treatment.
